In this project we tailored fluid spaces into an arc embracing a garden – maximising inside-outside permeability and fundamentally rethinking the vision of a contemporary country house. Structural walls emerge from the landscape to support a sweeping roof, which wraps the form of the house before driving back down into the earth. Sustainable approaches to energy, materials and design have been combined in this house for the 21st century, which harnesses innovations in home entertainment, wellness, hospitality and workplace in unique space.
