Harnessing the full range of the team’s skills, our work on this exemplary 17th century manor house sensitively breathes new life into historic fabric. One of the main challenges was to address the complexities of the existing layout while restoring the building and injecting a pared-back modern aesthetic into the interiors. Approaches to significant structural interventions, which included replacing the main roof, were informed by our team’s in-depth conservation knowledge. We evolved the design in close conversation with our client, matching their preferences and carefully integrating their collections of fine art and contemporary furniture into the interiors.
